The Evansville Wartime Museum will welcome veterans
and their families to the annual Free Veterans Day Breakfast on Wednesday, November 11, from 7:00
to 10:00 a.m. The breakfast is presented by WIKY 104.1 FM and sponsored by Browning Funeral
Home. It will be held at the museum, at 7503 Petersburg Road, Evansville.
Mayor Stephanie Terry will offer a welcome just after 8:00 a.m. Guests will also see a video message
from Governor Mike Braun honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
“The Veterans Day Breakfast is our way of saying thank you to the men and women who served and
to the families who served alongside them,” said museum staff. “We are grateful to WIKY 104.1 FM
and Browning Funeral Home for making it possible to bring this tradition back every year.”
The breakfast is free, and veterans and their families are encouraged to attend.
Just three days later, the museum will host a Civil War in Indiana Special Event and Exhibition on
Saturday, November 14, from 11:00 to 4:00. Visitors can enjoy traditional music of the era performed
by a Civil War band, attend a special presentation by Dona Bone at 12:30 p.m., and be among the
first to see a newly revealed exhibit.
Regular museum admission applies for the November 14 event. Hours and admission rates are
available at evansvillewartimemuseum.org.
