The state’s largest splash pad will be located right here in Evansville.
Construction for the $24 million project will begin this month at the former Lloyd Pool site.
The new splash pad will be fully ADA accessible and feature multiple interactive areas designed for a range of age groups, including a toddler zone, a mixed-use zone, and a dedicated area for children ages 5–12.
Trees, benches, shade, and a wildflower meadow will be added later on.
The splash pad will operate seasonally from May through October.
Most of the work should be done in late summer.
