Warrick Humane Society (WHS) is excited to announce its first-ever Band Waggin’ Music
Fest, a community celebration combining live music, local food, and fundraising to support animals in need.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 17 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Myriad Brewing Company in
Newburgh.
Band Waggin’ Music Fest is a brand-new event that carries forward the spirit of past community favorites
while introducing a fresh experience designed to bring people together in support of local shelter animals.
The afternoon will feature live performances from The Honeyvines and Between the Frets, creating a relaxed,
family-friendly atmosphere for attendees to enjoy music, community, and outdoor fun.
Food will be available beginning at 12:00 PM (while supplies last) from local food trucks including Mother
Truckers Pizzeria and BlueBird Hot Chicken.
Entry to the event is a monetary donation to Warrick Humane Society, with all proceeds benefiting the
organization’s lifesaving programs, including medical care, shelter services, and adoption efforts for animals
in need.
Additional event highlights will include puppy snuggles available for donation, a Warrick Humane Society
pop-up shop, and information about the organization’s ongoing Building Hope for WHS Shelter Project. A Half
Pot drawing will also take place during the event, with participants encouraged to purchase tickets in
advance and attend for the drawing.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, friends, and family to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment
and community impact.
“Events like Band Waggin’ Music Fest allow us to connect the community directly with our mission in a fun
and meaningful way,” said McKenzie Puckett, Communications Coordinator of Warrick Humane Society.
“Every donation and every person who attends helps us continue providing care, safety, and hope to the
animals who rely on us.”

About Warrick Humane Society: Warrick Humane Society, a no-kill shelter located in Newburgh, Indiana. WHS was founded in 1983 by a handful of dedicated volunteers who rescued lost, injured and neglected animals.
Since WHS opened their building in 1997 and began actively working with Animal Control agencies and other
rescue organizations, WHS has saved thousands of animals and placed them in loving homes. Warrick
Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) no-kill rescue dedicated to improving companion animals’ lives. WHS does not
receive any funding from taxes or any national organizations. WHS is funded entirely by individual and
corporate donations, bequests, grants and fundraising events. Because all animals adopted by WHS are
spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped as well as receiving any other special
care they may need, finding enough funding is always a challenge.
