The Evansville Police Department is investigating a shooting on the city’s southeast side.
A report of gunshots was reported to dispatch around 8:30 Wednesday night in the area of E. Blackford Avenue.
The suspect fled on foot and was taken into custody a short time later.
One person sustained a bullet wound to the leg and was transported to the hospital.
