The city of Evansville secured a grant for $3 million in roadway improvements.
Milling and resurfacing work will begin across the city, covering nearly 7 miles, in the next 30 days.
Work sites include Washington Avenue from Green River Road to Newburgh Road, Vann Avenue from Covert Avenue to Washington Avenue, and Sycamore Street from 5th Street to Main Street.
Bids for additional paving projects in late July include Cherry Street from Riverside Drive to 4th Street and Eagle Crest Blvd from the Lloyd Expressway to the end of Eagle Crest Blvd.
The project will be funded through the Community Crossings Matching Grant, city wheel tax, ARPA interest earnings, and Pavement Preservation.
