The Indiana Parole Board has heard arguments for and against clemency for death row inmate Jeffrey Weisheit.
Back in 2010, Weisheit set fire to a house in Evansville, killing his girlfriend’s children while his girlfriend was at work.
He asked the state parole board Friday for life in prison, but struggled to explain why his anger at his girlfriend led him to kill her two children.
The parole board will recommend whether or not to grant clemency, but Governor Braun has the final say.
