Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency over diesel prices.
This will allow Kentucky farmers and truckers to use untaxed or dyed diesel fuel on public roadways.
The announcement follows a federal order that relaxes restrictions on dyed diesel.
According to Triple A, the average costs for regular gasoline and diesel fuel in Kentucky have just about doubled from last year.
