Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden could be getting more than $1.3 million from the city for improvements.
The zoo is approaching its 100th anniversary in 2028 and has a long list of projects planned for the coming year.
Including work on the Discovery Center, the Amazonia building, and paving throughout the property.
The zoo spans 50 acres with more than 30 buildings and sees more than 200,000 visitors a year.
