EVANSVILLE, IN — Bee a Buddy: AnnaB Project is inviting families throughout the community to come together for an afternoon focused on kindness, connection, mental health awareness, suicide prevention awareness, and most importantly—FUN for local children.
The Bee a Buddy, Not a Bully Block Party will take place on Sunday, September 13, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wesselman Woods in Evansville, Indiana.
The free community event is designed to give children and families a safe and welcoming space to connect while promoting an important message: Be a Buddy, Not a Bully.
Guests can expect family-friendly activities, games, community resources, local businesses and organizations, giveaways, children’s activities, and opportunities for families to connect with others in the community.
Bee a Buddy: AnnaB Project was created in memory of AnnaBelle “AnnaB” Moore, whose life and legacy continue to inspire a mission centered around protecting children, spreading kindness, and making sure young people know they are never alone.
The project focuses on raising awareness surrounding childhood bullying, youth mental health, suicide prevention, and the importance of creating stronger support systems for children and families.
“This event is about bringing our community together for our kids,” said founder Mariah Elliott. “We want children to have fun, feel loved, feel included, and leave knowing that kindness matters. Sometimes simply being a buddy to someone can make a bigger difference than we will ever realize.”
The Bee a Buddy, Not a Bully Block Party is free and open to the public. Families, community members, and supporters are encouraged to attend and help spread the message that together, we can create safer and more compassionate spaces for our children.
