An Evansville man is behind bars after two people were injured in a cane attack at a local motel.
EPD responded to an assault at the Esquire Inn after Shawn Finch became aggressive after a dispute broke out inside a motel room.
Finch allegedly grabbed a metal-type walking cane and struck a victim in the face.
A second victim also sustained a laceration to her wrist.
Officers on scene recovered the cane, which was broken into three pieces.
Finch is facing charges of felony battery with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.
