Two employees of Kindergate Developmental Child Care Center in Evansville are being accused of abuse.
A five-year-old victim claimed they were put in a closet on two separate occasions and even hit with the handle of a broom.
Tashaviyon Stinson claims the child wanted to see the Easter bunny and a pumpkin, so she took them to the closet and shut the door.
During that time, she left and went to the liquor store.
When asked if she had hit or poked the victim with a broom, she told police she couldn’t remember.
Stinson is charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury, as well as battery on a person less than 14 years old.
Andrea Williamson is accused of failing to report the abuse.
She was arrested and has since been released.
