Health officials have confirmed multiple cases of cyclospora in the Tri-State.
Daviess County has the highest concentration of cases, with five confirmed. Hancock, Hopkins, and McLean counties each have one reported case.
One case has been reported in Vanderburgh and Dubois Counties.
Cyclospora symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal cramps, which can last a few days to a month or longer.
The illness is likely linked to various types of imported fresh produce, including lettuce, raspberries, basil, cilantro, and snow peas.
Nearly 7,000 cases have been reported nationwide.
