Nearly 50 animals with the Vanderburgh Humane Society have been relocated to Maryland.
Volunteers made the 11-hour trip with bunnies, kittens, and puppies in tow to the Rise Above Animal Rescue in Pasadena.
VHS says that during the busiest time of year, with more than 600 animals in our care, these transports are lifesaving.
