A former employee of Posey County Solid Waste was handed her sentence in court yesterday.
Jennifer Tinsley was found guilty of stealing more than $25,000 of County funds.
According to court records, an investigation revealed that the money was stolen between April 2023 and February 2024.
Tinsley received over $22,000 in unauthorized checks plus $4,550 in fraudulent payroll checks.
She will spend six months in prison, with 2 years already served.
Tinsley was further ordered to pay restitution to Posey County for the funds stolen.
