Lots of local raced on the ballot as well as statewide races including the race for the U.S. Senate seat held by Republican Mitch McConnell who first took office in 1985. Democratic front runner Amy McGrath is hoping to do something that hasn’t happened in the Commonwealth in the 21st century, and that’s win the race in the general election in November. To do that she’ll have to win the Democratic primary tomorrow and then go on to defeat the Republican pick tomorrow. Congressman Andy Barr and Attorney General Daniel Cameron are the front runners there.
