A trial date has been set for February in the lawsuit filed after the death of a Vanderburgh County Jail inmate.
Jacob Ziliak died in August 2022.
His mother and her attorney claim medical negligence caused her son’s death.
In March, a district court ruled the Sheriff’s Office was not responsible.
However, Quality Correctional Care is still being sued.
The company is still used in Gibson and other surrounding counties’ facilities, but is no longer used at the Vanderburgh County Jail.
