Three people were shot, one seriously hurt, in a Sunday morning incident that culminated at a South Side gas station.
It happened just before 4 a.m. at Covert Avenue and Green River Road.
Two people were taken to a hospital from the scene and a third showed up at the hospital later.
A young person was seriously hurt and was taken to a hospital outside of Evansville for treatment.
About an hour before, a crowd of about 300 people gathered at the Washington Square Mall parking lot and there was some fighting.
Detectives say the shooting was connected to that.
