Join us in serving those in need!
Going back to school can look very different from one person to the next. The truth is that there are many who worry about having everything they need for their child. For some it’s a battle they face every year…for others, this may be a battle they will be facing for the first time this year… We never want anyone to feel like they are alone in this battle.
For years The Salvation Army and Walmart have partnered to raise school supplies for those in need as part of “Stuff The Bus”… how we accomplished this effort has looked very different from year to year…From school supplies being purchased and volunteers stuffing backpacks…to focusing on area high schools and partnering with counselors for under-served schools…to our latest partnership with EVSC Foundation Teacher Locker helping equip teachers and classrooms throughout the year… to this year’s 3-way approach to serving EVSC, Warrick County School Corp, and direct assistance to the Cedar Hall elementary neighborhood.
Donation boxes will be available at all local Walmart supercenters to collect on Aug 5th and 6th 2022 from 10 AM until 6 PM
Additional collection boxes will be available at other participating businesses and agencies including the following:

Need Help With School Supplies?
School Supplies collected from this event will be taken to the near school for each store locations perspective county. The Salvation Army does not plan to have a large-scale distribution of school supplies to families this year, however, we encourage you to approach your child’s teacher for assistance. Each teacher in EVSC has access to Teacher Locker which is an internal EVSC program to equip teachers and their classrooms with any needed supplies. teachers can pick up these supplies starting in the middle of July and can continue visiting Teacher Locker throughout the school year as needed for themselves or their students. This is a way to extend and spread the donated supplies to all the various classrooms that are in need and help throughout the year, instead of only at the beginning.
