The Most Peaceful Country In The World Is…

It’s no secret that the world is far from a peaceful place right now, and a new report is confirming all our suspicions.

• The 15^th annual Global Peace Index was just released, revealing that global peacefulness has fallen overall.
• This is mainly due to a 10% rise in civil unrest.
• There were 14,871 violent demonstrations, protests and riots recorded globally in 2020.
• Countries such as India, Chile, Italy, France, Germany, and South Africa were particularly impacted by demonstrations.
• Overall, 87 countries have improved their peacefulness, while it’s deteriorated in 73 countries.
• Iceland once again ranks as the most peaceful country in the world, an honor it has held since 2008.
• As for the United States, it lands at 122, out of 163 countries on the list.
