A Mt. Vernon man has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.
Rayvon Robbins has been charged with a string of thefts from unlocked vehicles in Posey County.
He was convicted of 29 separate criminal offenses, including possession of cocaine.
Various items were stolen, including cash and multiple firearms.
Robbins confessed to the crimes.
He claims he tossed the firearms in a nearby dumpster.
They were never recovered.
