Two people are in the Dubois County Jail after a child and several animals were found living in deplorable conditions.
Police were called to an apartment after a report of a woman screaming for help, as well as a man screaming and dogs barking.
18 puppies were found along with seven adult dogs, five cats, and a rabbit.
The Indiana Department of Child Services removed the child.
Dayron Rodriguez and Yisel Correa are charged with neglect of a dependent and animal cruelty.
