The Evansville Police Department is now better equipped to respond to emergencies.
200 lifesaving trauma kits have been assembled for EPD squad cars.
The Evansville Police Foundation partnered with Deaconess Health System on the project, which was made possible through a $25,000 grant from Deaconess.
Students from Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center helped assemble the kits.
The kits were designed to give officers critical medical supplies they can use before first responders arrive.
