Police have a driver in custody after a hit-and-run.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Weinbach Avenue and Pollack Avenue around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The teen was starting to cross the street when she was hit by a car.
She was taken to the hospital after she complained of leg pain.
Witnesses at the scene saw the driver, later identified as Marc Jones, hit the teen and drive away from the scene.
He told officers the reason he left was that he was scared and knew his license was suspended.
