An Evansville man is in jail after he stole from a liquor store and then locked himself in someone’s garage.
Eric Nicholson is accused of stealing nearly $100 worth of beer and cigarettes from St. Joe’s Mini Mart and assaulting a man at his home.
Nicholson refused to come out of the garage, so a K9 was used to take him into custody.
He repeatedly punched the K9 in the head.
Nicholson was taken to the hospital and then to jail.
His charges include theft, residential entry, resisting law enforcement, assault, and striking a law enforcement animal.
