The Posey County Farm Bureau, Inc. Farmers Market, along with the Town of Poseyville, Indiana, launches its newest market in Poseyville.
The Poseyville Farmers Market is preparing to roll out its first farmers market this summer that will serve the Northern Posey County Community and surrounding areas beginning in May.
In partnership with The Posey County Farm Bureau, Inc. Farmers Market and the Town of Poseyville, the Poseyville Farmers Market was established to give growers and producers of Posey County and surrounding areas, alternative marketing opportunities for their agricultural commodities and farm-related products; at the same time promoting “locally grown” products and provide a variety of fresh, tasty, nutritional produce to the residents of our community at a reasonable cost.
The Poseyville Farmers Market will run every Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. at the Poseyville Community Center, 60 N. Church St., from May 31 – August 2, 2022.

“We are very excited about this Farmers Market. This event will increase access to locally-sourced food within the community and promote healthy living,” Bratcher said. “We are working hard to promote our market! We have plans to invite Food Trucks; we will have entertainment and hourly announcements; weekly non-profit booths filled with information about things such as Medicare and Scouting; artisan booths filled with jellies, jams, candles, baked goods, pet foods, etc.; and of course, some of the best locally-grown veggies around!”
The Poseyville Farmers Market hopes to be a gathering hub with some of the best local produce farmers, artisan food producers with delicious treats and more. Beyond food, the market will also shine a light on some talented artists and craftsmen and connect organizations to the local community.
“We have some exciting things planned for our Market,” states Poseyville Market Board Vice-President Christy Foster. “Although our main focus is to strive to make fresh, locally-sourced foods accessible to all parts of the community, we also hope to offer fun and educational opportunities to organizations such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, our local Library, and many others.”
